Discovering Oiz
Mountain bike route from Gernika that starts following the course of the Berrekondo, along a long track that climbs up to the district of Berroja, surrounded by vineyards.
The route continues along paths towards Urrutxua and, from here, by road to Magunas.
Continue to the hermitage of San Cristóbal, from where you can enjoy wonderful views.
On the way back, the route descends to the banks of the Golako, to continue alongside it to Berriondo.
From this point you can enjoy the beauty of the Way of St. James all the way to Gernika.

What to see on the route?
On a hill to the northeast of the summit of Mount Oiz, at an altitude of 791 metres, is the hermitage/shelter of San Cristóbal. It’s an ideal place to stop and enjoy the views.
