Cycling through the inland area of Urdaibai II
From the landscape of the marshes to the villages and high neighbourhoods on the right bank of the Urdaibai estuary. Starting from Kortezubi, this route climbs up to the narrow, high valleys between Ereño and Nabarniz, and then descends to Belendiz and Arratzu.
Once in Munitibar, we’ll tackle the climb to the Balcony of Bizkaia to continue on to Urrutxua and descend to Gernika along the Mendata road. On the way back to Kortezubi, we can take a detour to the Cave of Santimamiñe.

What to see on the route?
The Balcony of Bizkaia viewpoint is the highest point on this route (the second pass) and offers one of the best panoramic views of the Urdaibai basin.
