Cycling through the inland area of Urdaibai
Leaving Muxika, we head towards the pass of Gerekiz, heading through the district of Ugarte. We descend to Olabarri, where we leave the BI-2121 road to go up the BI-3213 towards Errigoiti. Next to the Uria neighbourhood, we turn off towards Bizkaigane to enjoy its splendid views.
We descend to Forua via Metxika, and then continue towards Gernika, where we start the long climb to Mendata. After regaining our strength, we start the descent to Muxika, through the Lamikiz neighbourhood.

In Muxika, the Unda neighbourhood is worth a visit for its medieval farmhouses.
Fall in love with the views from the Bizkaigane viewpoint, the highest point on the route.
In Forua, you can visit the Roman settlement located on the hill of Elexalde, the most extensive excavated and consolidated site on the eastern coast of Cantabria.
